While in low output heart failure the extremities are cold, in high output failure due to increased thyroid function, the extremities of the limbs are warm. Another important issue with increased thyroid function is that the heartrhythm may become irregular.

Ventricles are the lower muscular pumping chambers of the heart. When the LAD is blocked at its origin, the resulting damage to the heart muscle is large so that the pumping function may fail. It can also alter the heartrhythm abruptly causing cardiac arrest or stoppage of heart function.
The rapid rise in left ventricular pressure following the impact possibly results in mechanical activation of the electrical system of the heart producing the lethal heartrhythm abnormality. Left ventricle is the lower muscular chamber of the heart which pumps oxygenated blood to the whole body.
Other causes are inflammation of the heart muscle known as myocarditis, Lyme disease caused by a bacterial infection, and some medications which slow the electrical conduction of the heart, typically given to control heartrhythm abnormalities.
