Due to the high risk of hemorrhagic conversion, the loading of antiplatelets was deferred. A 2D echocardiogram revealed an ejection fraction of 43%, hypokinesia of the anterior and intraventricular septum from base to apex, and severe mitral stenosis. An open-heart surgery was considered.
