There is an unmet need to create consensus documents on the management of cardiorenal patients since, due to the aging of the population and the rise of both pathologies, these patients are becoming more prevalent in daily clinical practice. There have yet to be consensus documents on how to approach palliative care in cardiorenal patients.
The top contributing authors in terms of total documents were Nose Y (35) and Throckmorton A (30) and in terms of total citations were Pagani F (2005) and Mehra M (1952). The top contributing journals were Artificial Organs and Asaio Journal with 116 and 81 publications, respectively.

Abstract In patients with heart failure, neurohumoral activation leads to increased renal sodium avidity across the entire renal tubules, resulting in a positive sodium and water balance, leading to decompensated heart failure requiring intravenous diuretics.
No significant differences were observed in documented arrhythmias, bleeding, or stroke. The incidence of device syndrome was significantly higher in patients with nickel hypersensitivity compared to those without (71.4% vs. 20.6%, p < 0.001). Multivariable analysis showed that nickel hypersensitivity was associated with a 10.5-fold

Although lifestyle changes and risk factor modification are now acknowledged as central components of atrial fibrillation management, the effects of exercise on disease-specific outcomes are still not extensively documented due to few high-quality randomised trials.
The present case report documents the occurrence of severe myocarditis in a 35-year-old female patient, attributed to HSV-1 infection. Herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) is a recognised pathogen that is primarily associated with skin mucosal infection.
Early diagnosis and ECG documentation is therefore essential for arrhythmia management. 2 To differentiate between these subtypes is a challenging clinical task due to pre-existent abnormal ECGs in these patients. HF is also highly prevalent and is currently the most common cause of mortality in ACHD patients.
Two new studies document that, despite similar overall exposure to high-fat diet over a lifetime, an intermittent consumption of high-fat diet early in life accelerates atherosclerosis compared with continuous consumption of a high-fat diet.
This spectacular reduction in mortality with an ICD was observed in patients who required documented nonsustained VT and VT induction, limiting the number of patients who might benefit from this lifesaving therapy.
Conclusions Over one-third of women with Fontan physiology in our cohort had a documented pregnancy. Maternal and obstetric complications were common among these patients, and expanded long-term data is needed. Limitations, including small sample size and survival bias, may have underestimated the risk of adverse outcomes in this cohort.
This document provides for the first time a standardization on nomenclature for quantitative parameters derived from CCTA,” said Hector Garcia-Garcia , MD, PhD, writing group co-chair and corresponding author.
The newest clinical guideline released by the ACC and the American Heart Association (AHA) provides new and updated recommendations for preventing and optimally managing atrial fibrillation (AFib).
Document co-citation analysis identifies several high-impact studies focusing on how systemic inflammation induced by periodontitis promotes AS. Co-citation analysis shows that J Periodontol, J Clin Periodontol, and Circulation are the most frequently cited journals, reflecting their support for research in this area.
No significant differences between both groups were observed in diastolic BP reduction in patients with diastolic BP 90mmHg.ConclusionThe CHANGE study documents that a smartphone-guided digital health application positively affects systolic BP in CCS patients. This observation was consistent in patients with systolic BP 130mmHg at baseline.

The main molecular pathways involved were CXCR, NOTCH, STAT, NFKB1 and FGFR pathways, which have a well-documented role in diabetes and CAD. Our results demonstrated that pathways related to apoptosis and immune response were significantly dysregulated in the adipose tissue of T2D subjects.
The human body has sophisticated defenses against the deposition of calcium minerals that stiffen heart tissues, researchers at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and collaborators at UCLA Health and the University of Texas at Austin found in a new study that provides the first detailed, step-by-step documentation of how calcification progresses. (..)
Dates of first AA and HF presentations were documented, and outcomes of RFA, including acute and long-term success, were assessed. This study aimed to evaluate the temporal relationship between AA and HF onset, the association between HF and the success of radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and how HF influences outcomes in patients with AA.
No previous reports have documented the coexistence of congenital absence of the RCA and complete AV block in the same patient.Case summariesCase 1 was a 52-year-old man with no significant past medical history who experienced syncope. The prevalence of complete atrioventricular (AV) block also appears to be low.

The “weekend effect” is a well-documented phenomenon in hospital care, often linked to reduced staffing levels, leading to potential delays in diagnosis and intervention. Weekend procedures also face limited access to specialized cardiac teams, affecting timely decisions and making urgent procedures more difficult to schedule.
