Abstract 4145609: The Cardiac Conundrum of Cannabis: A Case of Junctional Bradycardia Triggered by Cannabis Use

STEMI with Life-Threatening Hypokalemia and Incessant Torsades de Pointes

Dr. Smith's ECG Blog

He also had a history of chronic kidney disease, stage III. Angio had shown some acute disease in the saphenous vein graft to the posterior descending artery off of the RCA. There is also bradycardia. Bradycardia puts patients at risk for "pause-dependent" Torsades de Pointes. Most recent echo showed EF of 60%.

Potassium 6.2 with narrow QRS: any indication for calcium?

Dr. Smith's ECG Blog

Theres sinus bradycardia, borderline PR interval, narrow QRS; normal axis/R wave progression; low precordial voltages, and subtle peaked T waves (most obvious in V2, but all T waves are symmetric with a narrow base). Theres no prior ECG to compare - but the bradycardia, prolonged PR and peaked T waves could all be from hyperkalemia.
