A rare case of atrial flutter and a cystic mass in the left atrium

Heart BMJ

°C and a normal blood pressure of 123/83 mm Hg. A 24-hour 12-lead ECG revealed sinus rhythm, frequent atrial premature beats, paroxysmal atrial flutter with an atrial flutter burden of 9.37% and no paroxysmal ST-T abnormalities. The patient reported no chest pain or shortness of breath.

Prediction of atrial fibrillation using a home blood pressure monitor with a high-resolution system

Open Heart

Objective The usefulness of screening for atrial fibrillation (AF) using several home blood pressure (BP) monitors has been reported. The rhythms recorded by each ECG were 73 sinus regular rhythms, 35 extrasystoles, 222 AFs and 3 atrial flutters. to 97.6%) and 96.8% (95% CI 92.6% to 100%), respectively.

Digitally enabled acute care for atrial fibrillation: conception, feasibility and early outcomes of an AF virtual ward

Open Heart

Patients presenting acutely with AF or atrial flutter and rapid ventricular response to the hospital were onboarded to the virtual ward and managed at home through remote ECG-monitoring and ‘virtual’ ward rounds, after being given access to a single-lead ECG device, a blood pressure monitor and pulse oximeter with instructions to record (..)

A fascinating electrophysiology case. What is this wide complex tachycardia, and how best to manage it?

Dr. Smith's ECG Blog

The ECG was interpreted as showing atrial flutter with 2:1 conduction. The heart rate could be compatible with that of a 2:1 conducted atrial flutter. Also, lead I could give the initial impression of showing flutter waves. She presented to the emergency department after a couple of days of chest discomfort.

What does the ECG show in this patient with chest pain, hypotension, dyspnea, and hypoxemia?

Dr. Smith's ECG Blog

The rhythm is 2:1 atrial flutter. The flutter waves can conceal or mimic ischemic repolarization findings, but here I don't see any obvious findings of OMI or subendocardial ischemia. 1) It would help to cardiovert to sinus rhythm This would improve the atrial contribution to ventricular filling. Lots of info here.
