The secondary outcome was reintervention, including any cardiovascular surgeries and non-diagnostic catheterisations. The in-hospital outcomes favoured the Fontan group, including duration of cardiopulmonary bypass, aortic cross-clamp, mechanical ventilation and intensive care unit stay. The primary outcome was mortality.
