An echocardiogram revealed the heart condition that would define much of his early life: severe congenital heart defects. At just 20 days old, Christopher underwent his first heart surgery, a complex procedure to patch the VSD, repair the ASD, resect the LVOT muscle, and reconstruct his aortic arch.
