Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is an important therapeutic modality for atrial fibrillation (AF), widely utilized in clinical practice due to its safety and significant efficacy. This case report describes a unique instance of a patient developing AEF following AF ablation, accompanied by ischemic stroke and myocardialinfarction.
A multicenter study has described and validated a new strategy for guiding ablation procedures in patients with complex tachycardias. Ablation procedures use energy—usually heat or cold—to eliminate small areas of heart tissue that cause pathological cardiac arrhythmias, thereby restoring normal heart rhythm.
Different imaging modalities have been used to image and display scar tissue accelerating substrate identification and streamlining mapping and ablation of ventricular tachycardias (VTs). Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is referred as the gold standard for identifying scar tissue especially after myocardialinfarction or injury1.
The VARIPULSE Platform is comprised of the VARIPULSE Catheter, a fully integrated variable-loop multielectrode catheter; the TRUPULSE Generator, a pulsed field ablation (PFA) generator; and the CARTO 3 System VARIPULSE Software, which provides full integration with the world's leading 3D cardiac mapping system.
A 64-year-old male with recurrent ventricular tachycardia (VT) was referred for repeat ablation. He had undergone three prior VT ablation procedures elsewhere. Reports from his previous VT ablation procedures suggested low endocardial voltage at the basal inferior/inferoseptal left ventricle.

Mapping data in post-myocardialinfarction (MI) patients describe ventricular tachycardia (VT) re-entry circuits of slow VT, that are typically related to transmural scars. Fast VTs with cycle lengths close to the refractory period may be related to functional re-entry in the scar border zone (BZ).
Chronic recurrent monomorphic VT like fascicular tachycardia and right ventricular outflow tract tachycardia are also amenable to electrophysiological mapping and ablation. Recurrent ventricular tachycardia in spite of radiofrequency catheter ablation needs an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
The aim of the POLAR ICE Study was to evaluate 1-year efficacy and safety outcomes of cryoballoon ablation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. months post-index, cause unknown), one (0.26%) stroke, one (0.26%) myocardialinfarction, and one (0.26%) persistent PNP (0.26%).
Reentrant VT can be scar related as after a myocardialinfarction, bundle branch reentry and fascicular tachycardia. Radiofrequency catheter ablation is highly effective (85%-90%) in those with severe symptoms. Either case, the treatment is ablation of the right bundle. The sinus rhythm ECG can manifest an LBBB pattern.
The activation signal, or signature, defined as the cumulative number of recording sites that have activated per millisecond, was utilized to segment each re-entrant ventricular tachycardia (VT) circuit into inner and outer circuit pathways, and as an estimate of best ablation lesion location to prevent VT. sites activating/ms).
OPTION Trial : LAAC after AFib ablation was associated with lower risks of major bleeding compared to oral anticoagulation. VANISH2 Trial : Catheter ablation as first-line therapy reduced VT episodes more effectively than antiarrhythmic drugs in ischemic cardiomyopathy patients. Access the full study. View the study.
WPW, previous Q wave MI, and acute coronary occlusion Depending on the location of the accessory pathway, WPW pattern can mimic ventricular hypertrophy (including RVH or LVH) or myocardialinfarction (including anterior, inferior, lateral or posterior MI) [1]. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome ‘cured’ by myocardialinfarction?
Within the last six months, separate AI-ECG algorithms for detecting Low Ejection Fraction (Anumana), Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (Viz.ai), and Occlusion Myocardialinfarction (Powerful Medical) have all been granted regulatory clearance (the latter under the EU MDR) and are in the early stages of deployment.
Troponin T peaked at 38,398 ng/L ( = a very large myocardialinfarction, but not massive-- thanks to the pre-PCI spontaneous reperfusion, and rapid internvention!! ). Over the next couple of days the patient was weaned off of mechanical circulatory support. Inotropic medication was continued.
Cases are on record, in which ablation of the fourth septal artery has been done to ameliorate the obstruction in mid cavity obstruction. Thin posterior wall in inferior wall myocardialinfarction causing abnormal septal to posterior wall ratio can also cause suspicion of ASH. Doppler echo showing LVOT gradient in HCM.
A 34 yo woman with a history of HTN, h/o SVT s/p ablation 2006, and 5 months post-partum presented with intermittent central chest pain and SOB. ng/mL This single initial troponin at this level, in the context of chest pain, is high enough to be diagnostic of acute myocardialinfarction. This was sent by a colleague.
Furthermore, it includes the latest recommendations which specifically address AF and thromboembolic risk assessment, anticoagulation, left atrial appendage occlusion, AF catheter or surgical ablation, and risk factor modification and AF prevention. As such, the Class of Recommendation for catheter ablation has been upgraded.
Objective:To evaluate the clinical and procedural characteristics and outcomes of patients with congenital heart disease who present for VT ablation. Methods:A single-center, retrospective study of patients undergoing VT ablation was conducted. These patients were younger compared to the non-ACHD subtype.
