Sometimes cardiac troponin elevation may accompany ECG changes in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. It was found that cardiac injury was incrementally worse with increasing severity of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and was associated with persistent prolongation of QTc and ventricular arrhythmias. 2009 Nov;40(11):3478-84.

She went for a head CT and had a severe subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) due to ruptured aneurysm. Methods: Between June 2007 - July 2009 all NT-OHCA patients aged >18, transported to our hospital, an urban, level one trauma teaching hospital were included. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the patient died a neurologic death.
